Maija Rautasuo & Pinja Ukkola | Lied Duo

Maija Rautasuo and Pinja Ukkola have been performing together since 2020, when their collaboration began at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. As a lied duo, they have been mentored by leading Finnish musicians and continue to perform actively across Finland.

Their duo is built on deep friendship, musical trust, and a bold, expressive approach to interpretation. In 2024, they premiered their own concert production dedicated to Finnish opera, showcasing their creative vision and commitment to storytelling through music. In 2026 Pinja created a staged concert inspired by the travel diaries of Erkki Melartin that has been performed in Helsinki with Maija and two other singers. Maija and Pinja are known for their carefully crafted concert programmes, which resonate deeply with audiences and inspire reflection as well as emotional response.
