Eliso & Zura | String Duo

Brought together by a shared passion for chamber music, Eliso and Zura formed their string
duo while studying at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts in Helsinki.
Eliso started playing cello at the age of twelve, successfully graduating music school and then
later getting her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at the Sibelius Academy. She has
performed as a soloist and ensemble musician, as well as being the orchestra member in
orchestras such as Turku Philharmonic orchestra, Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra,
Kuopio City orchestra and other orchestras outside Finland.

Admiring the violin since his childhood, Zura has earned his Bachelor’s degree in Classical
violin performance in Tbilisi State Conservatory. Currently he’s living in Helsinki and is
pursuing Master’s studies at the Sibelius Academy. He has gained a rich soloist, Ensemble and
concertmaster experience from concert tours and international studies in countries such as
UK, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Lithuania and Georgia.
After forming the duo, Eliso and Zura took part in ensemble masterclasses and festivals
throught Finland, performing classical, baroque, romantic, contemporary and folk music.
Their work consists of performances at the musical projects, events and various types of
ceremonies throughout Finland.
