Knuut Nissinen, a Tampere-based violinist, is completing his Master’s studies in violin performance and chamber music at Edsberg Manor, part of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He previously graduated as a musician from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2023 and has also undertaken exchange studies and private lessons in Oslo.

Alongside his studies, Knuut spends a great deal of time in Finland and performs widely across various locations. His clients have included Stockmann Helsinki, Alpa, Grand Hotel Tammer, Aran Islands Hotel, Elisa and Valio. Knuut has been especially praised for his profoundly moving and sensitive musical interpretations.
Knuut is available for performances either solo or with various ensembles, from duos and trios to larger groups.

Important moments in his recent career include performing as a soloist with the Candomino Choir, numerous chamber music concerts at the Hanko Soi concert series, the “Bach in the Castles of Finland” tour, and the closing concert of the international Grieg Now! conference at Troldhaugen in Norway. In 2024, Knuut carried out a concert tour featuring Schubert’s String Quintet in psychiatric hospitals and shelters. He has also performed in the radio documentary Pahuuden paradoksi (Yle Radio 1) and participated the Irish Chamber Orchestra Academy in Ireland. Knuut is the founder and artistic director of the Hanko Soi concert series.
