Dávid Szilasi | Piano
Piano and fortepiano artist Dávid Szilasi (1997, Hungary) obtained his Master’s degree with Highest Honors in 2021 at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and completed his third Master’s program in the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki under the guidance of Tuija Hakkila in 2024.
In 2023 he received the I. prize of the “Wiener Klassiker” International Competition, and was the first Hungarian to participate in the International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments ever. In the autumn 2024 he got the III. prize and the audience award on the MA Brugge International Fortepiano Competition, and won the International Helsinki Lied Competition with soprano Anna Ginström. Moreover, he has been qualified for three upcoming competitions in the spring of 2025.
As a soloist he has collaborated with numerous Hungarian and International orchestras. Recently he played in the Helsinki Music Center, and the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, and had a concert tour in the Baltic countries. His repertoire extends from early music to contemporary pieces, in case of the later from Hungarian and Finnish composers especially.
