Carmo Quintela | Harp

Carmo Quintela is a Portuguese harpist currently studying at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki, where she has been a student since 2021. Before moving to Finland, she completed her specialized music education at the Music Conservatory of Aveiro Calouste Gulbenkian.

Carmo has performed with several orchestras, including the Orquestra Nacional de Jovens, Oulu Sinfonia, and Helsinki Metropolitan Orchestra. She has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Erkki Lasonpalo, Sakari Oramo, and David Maslanka. In addition to her orchestral work, she has participated in masterclasses with leading harpists like Emmanuel Ceysson, Anaïs Gaudemard, and Beatrix Schmidt.

Her performance experience extends to solo recitals, including an invitation to perform at the Gyllenberg Foundation. She has also worked with ensembles such as Sinfoniaorkesteri Vivo and Ylioppilaskunnan Soittajat, and she regularly collaborates on diverse musical projects.
